The NEWDRU FlameGuard Ranger is built for people who cook away from a kitchen — on a campsite, a hostel desk, a rented flat without a piped connection, or a shop counter. It runs on a standard butane canister or connects to an external gas tank, lights with one push, and packs into a hard case that survives a car boot.

Four brass jets, not one

Most portable stoves use a single central jet, which scorches the middle of the pan and leaves the edges cold. The Ranger spreads the flame across four brass jets, so heat reaches the whole base of the pan. The result is even cooking rather than a burnt centre — which matters the moment you're cooking something more demanding than instant noodles.

The bowl beats the wind

The burner sits in a recessed bowl rather than flush on the surface. That recess shields the flame, so it stays lit when a breeze picks up — the single most common frustration with cheap camping stoves, and the reason people end up burning twice the fuel outdoors.

Full boil down to a low simmer

Battery-free piezoelectric ignition lights it instantly with no matches or lighter. The adjustable flame control runs from a rolling boil right down to a gentle simmer, so you can actually finish a dish rather than just heat it.

Hard case, not a cardboard box

The Ranger ships in a moulded hard carry case with twin latches and a proper handle — a seat for every part, so nothing rattles loose in transit. It stores flat in a car boot, a caravan locker or an emergency cupboard and comes out intact months later.

Dual gas compatibility

Run it on a standard butane canister for portability, or connect it to an external gas tank for longer, cheaper cooking sessions at home. You are never stuck because one fuel type isn't available where you are.

What fuel does the Ranger use?
A standard butane canister loaded into the side slot, or an external gas tank. Cartridges and regulators are sold separately.

Can I use it indoors?
Only in a well-ventilated space — an open kitchen, a balcony, or a room with a window open. Never in a sealed room, a closed tent or a car. Butane consumes oxygen and produces carbon monoxide.

Will it stay lit in wind?
The recessed burner bowl shields the flame far better than a flush-mounted burner. In strong wind, add a foil windshield — it also cuts fuel use significantly.

Will Indian cookware fit?
Yes. The enlarged pan support takes a kadhai, tawa or standard pressure cooker base.

How long does one canister last?
